The WebVoyagers Comic Yearbooks are compilations of WebVoyagers comic episodes that have previously appeared in The Canadian Reader. Each Yearbook consists of eight, three-page, full-colour stories featuring siblings Lily, Patrick and Christopher who travel to different locations in Canada by pressing the 'Enter' key on their magic computer. During their adventures, they find out more about a region or place, then return home with a press to the 'Home' key.
Engaging and educational, the WebVoyagers comics are written by well-known Canadian children's non-fiction writer Vivien Bowers and illustrated by talented Ontario cartoonist Mike Cope. They provide an ideal springboard into a new unit, an excellent source of non-fiction information about Canada, or just good reading for Canadian students in grades 3 to 5.
Each class set of 15 Comic Yearbooks costs just $145 (shipping included) and is accompanied by a comprehensive teacher's guide that includes a literacy lesson plan for each story, plus photocopiable activity, extension, research and map pages. Additional comics may be purchased in quantities of 10 for $45.
